VEX CAD
Welcome to VEX CAD
This page is here to host the official CAD library of VEX Robotics 3D Models.
By using these component files users may model complex robot assemblies
in CAD, before beginning actual construction.
All files are available in 3 major formats:
- STEP Files : A STEP file is a universal format, which is
compatible with most 3D Solid-Modeling programs. These files should
easily import into a variety of programs including SolidWorks, Autodesk
Inventor, and others.
- Inventor Files : These files are compatible with Inventor
version 10 and newer.
(Users of older versions of Inventor should import
the STEP files.)
- SolidWorks Files : These files are compatible with SolidWorks
2006, and newer.
(Users of older versions of SolidWorks should import
the STEP files.)
Also Note, SolidWorks provides a FREE viewer program
eDrawings which can open all SolidWorks files. This program will allow
users to view the 3D part file, and take dimensions directly off the model.
In this way, users of other CAD programs can re-create the provided models.
